Thread regarding Hitachi Vantara layoffs

I want my life back

I think I'm done with prioritizing my job even if it means losing it in the end. This is just not humane anymore. I can't tell you for how many years I've been putting in the nights/weekends/hours because there was something that had to be done right then and there and it took priority over everything else. I did all that and I have nothing to show for it. HV is not worth it. I want my quality of life to improve because right now I have none. Sc--w this place.

Hang in there! Management will eventually recognize you with a gift card and some red sneakers.

Why would you want to leave a sinking firm that spends millions on Deloitte type goons and then does the exact same again.... duh... actually..

This company is worse than working for organized crime.

But there’s a new performance review process in place and promised merit increases. Surely your efforts were recognized and rewarded at year’s end?

This isn’t an HV problem. You have too much because you felt you had to. Other companies will take advantage of you same way if you let them.

Have you tried being related to your boss? That or hanging out with them after work usually does it here. I’m guessing you were just trying to get by on ethics and hard work.
