Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Excessive expectations

Every day I wonder if our management's expectations from employees are a little too high? It doesn't work that way. It is not possible to make so many demands on employees and give them peanuts in return. Only those who for some reason cannot go anywhere else or count the days until retirement are still working hard here. I don’t believe there are many more who are willing to work hard for less and less?

Fuji would have been a far better buyer for Xerox than where they are now. Xerox would have been in far better hands.

The expectations are high if you hold preferred shares of Xerox stock. They pay $20/share dividends.
It doesn't matter that employees don't receive affordable health benefits, 401k matching, bonuses or raises. It doesn't matter that resellers are abandoning Xerox equipment or that customer service is almost nonexistent.
What's important is for Carl, Johnny, the board and corporate officers to perpetuate their smoke & mirror lies to stupid Wall Street analysts so that they can steal as much money as possible before the company goes under.
Yes, expectations are high.

If you still work for X and are not actively looking to get out then you can't complain!
If you want to get no raise, no 401k match and do more work and pay high $$ for benefits then stay put, plain and simple

Peanuts? Maybe shells if you're lucky. Management has unrealistic and ridiculous ideas that are not possible given the current situation. People here are in "save yourselves mode" at this place. Everyone else has already left. Talk about a no win scenario, you're seeing it unfold right before your eyes.

Peanuts? At this point empty shells if you’re lucky. Management expectations are ludicrous in this environment. Everyone is in “save yourself mode”, and for good reason. Things are not looking good here.
