Out of many people I talked to, a sizable number is staying at PepsiCo only because they're hoping to be laid off. They want their severance instead of just walking out. I find it ironic that the company is so bad these days that employees are no longer fearing layoffs but hoping and praying for them. It says a lot about PepsiCo, really.

Have a feeling that PepsiCo may be on to people hanging around waiting for a layoff with severance. They may just start laying off withou little or no severance. I got tired of waiting around and left. Luckily, found something decent without all the worry & toxicity that comes with working at PepsiCo.
do we know what these meetings are about? What departments are the talking to?
I'm hearing a lot of buzz about a lot of meetings being held in a lot of locations the week of January 10. It seems like something is up.
This company has rotted to the core. I’m on the verge of a far more lucrative job offer with a smaller privately held employer. Once received, I’ll give these cheap rats just enough notice to clean out my desk, so to speak. I am one of hundreds if not thousands, who are a different kind of “woke” from what this bloated barge of garbage likes to posture itself as. We’ve “awoken” to the truth about PepsiCo and are scrambling for the exit. 1% raises, no bonus, constant fear of layoffs, nasty coworkers. Here is my version of the PepsiCo way: The FASTER you get out of here, the STRONGER you will become and the BETTER your financial, physical and emotional health will be. Good riddance!
that is why I am staying.. too much time at this company to leave an miss out on a year of pay
