Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Claims jobs, sales jobs

Our sale jobs pay almost 10k lower than an equivalent job at the big name companies per a simple Indeed comparison.
Our claims entry level home & auto pay nearly 5k less with sub-par benefits and no bonuses.

Who will we attract to these roles? Why are we the lowest paying?
Agents don’t even buy what we sell!

There is no need for any kind of sales job at Allstate. Glenn and Tom are taking this ship direct. Tom has over 20 years in the direct experience. Moreover, with Tom’s experience at Sears and the direct sears catalog, Allstate will be a force that has to be reckoned with. E-Surance was a great learning experience. Look out Geico and Progressive, there is a New Sheriff in town! His name is Tom Wilson! He is taking names and no prisoners!

Precisely why we are now attracting the bottom of the barrel claim reps. Most of our competition offers profit sharing in one form or another. They also have a more reasonable per diem, and cat pay platforms. We are taxed extra on our cat pay and are given enough per diem to live on fast food.
Claims employees get $50/day
Home office employees get $70/day
WTF
