Are there too many people in HR?

Someone's post about HR was interesting to me - do you also think that this company has too many people in HR?

I have been disappointed by HR many times. In fact, it is very clear that HR is not of much help to the employees here. In addition, I think that it would not matter much if there were far fewer of them in this department.

Something you have to keep in mind, HR is not there for the interest of the employee. HR is there to protect the company. And that means no matter if they have to cheat, lie, and steal to do it. HR reps are scumbags.

We have 2 HR employees and they go to lunch with the GM and select supervisors every day. It’s absolutely pointless to go to them. Half on the hiring has been friends of the management/they go to the same church ever since Covid hit. Starting to feel like a cult.

If you could see the office area in HR at corporate during Christmas you would think there are too many people working in there. Frustrating when you are busting your a$$ working long hours and HR employees are sitting around being paid to cut out snowflakes and decorate their desks to look like gingerbread houses. All while you can’t get them to address legitimate issues.

HR is to protect managers and company, they no longer have the time for the outfitter’s. It’s another disappointment from the purchase of Cabelas. They should change all BPS to Cabelas. If you have ever called the Ethics hotline. You probably have never heard back. That’s my story!
