Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Hiring!

This place is so desperate for employees they are literally hiring anyone with a pulse! Could be a test to see how customers react to the literal worst claim service before they move it to India! Word is out. First time in my career I have appreciated contractors, body shops, and PAs as they are getting the word out and driving home the message that this is the absolute worst carrier in the business right now. If you are looking to work here let me just give you a rundown. Minimal training, you will be expected to work literally @ double the claim volume as the industry standard. Pay is low compared to competitors. Management is overworked and has unmanageable head count so don't plan on having someone hold your hand. You will deal with conflict EVERY SINGLE DAY as our motto is to pay minimally and let them supplement for what we know is reasonably owed. Work/life balance is non existent. Senior leadership is as detached as they can possibly be and have no idea of what our customers say or how our employees feel (as if they cared). PTO program is pretty good, but you will need every freaking day to keep your sanity.
Record attrition of not only our top talent but also new employees who have no idea what a disaster they are getting into. One senior leader even acknowledged that attrition rates had not even made it to Tom Wilsons desk! WTF? How?

Look elsewhere unless you are looking for some minimal training and to obtain a license on a corporations dime. Then get outta here!!!!

I work in unspoken unit (hello home office). NO ONE is applying internally or externally for positions. People are quitting in records numbers since TG (no surprise) but last hire had ONE applicant. One. Zhe got the job (he/she is proper pronoun Allstate has taught me).

I hope policyholders, insureds, media read this board because they will see what their premium dollars buy them with TG. Garbage.

Is my syntax correct @$$holes? If not go f yourself.

Claims staffing is at a bare minimum. We are all working 12 hour days just to stay afloat and we’re still 2 weeks behind on inspections in auto. They give us inspects on our days off! I’m hoping for a $5 raise ! They stopped giving us overtime.

This is spot on. Corporately, there will come a day very soon that they will just have to tell everyone that India will be taking on more and more to “ help us”. This is all by design. The pandemic has just escalated it and TW and GS couldn’t be happier. Their plan is just getting executed faster. PTO? If you can take some great. Most have to work through theirs. Get an exit strategy. Don’t wait for possible severance as you might not get that lucky.
