Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

HR- one of the weakest points in Chevron?

I worked in 3 companies in this industry before I came here, and I also did jobs outside of this industry.
So now I can definitely say that the HR team is a weak point in Chevron and absolutely the worst when I compare my experiences in previous companies. I have been disappointed many times in the HR team here.

Never had any issue with HR. But there again have had little reason to deal with them, I just get on and do my job and advance my career.
There does appear to be an issue with HR or a few people in HR. They seem to spend a lot of time on this forum bleating about their colleagues and their lack of advancement in the company. The OP appears to be one of them. My advice is move on and take your moaning misery somewhere else.

I have no idea who my HR rep is and that's the way it should be. The less I hear about them the better they are doing their job.

I remember when HR was “a friend”, a helping hand to all employees. There was a HR representative or two among the other offices where employees had theirs. In the last 10 years, HR is no longer a friend or someone anywhere close to where the employees have their offices. Stark difference in attitude and approach to things. No “Human” in Human Resources. They are the henchmen of management.
