Black Friday Tanked At Lowe’s

How’s your area doing? Ohio stores are having the worst Black Friday Event sales in recent memory. The entire weekend has tanked.

Get ready to see employee hours being cut in the stores in the coming weeks before Christmas. It’s going to get ugly!

I know something is up. If you see anyone from corporate at your store spread the word. Code word: “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town!”

1511 was slow until after 11. Most shoppers were finishing up at Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Academy. Lowes and HD aren’t the place for prime Black Friday deal’s. It’s repeatedly been the ad year after w minimal differences year to year. (Craftsman and Ego for Troy-Bilt and Greenworks etc…) the same poinsettias….customers have even said it to store mgt.

Besides its been at least 4-5 years since the Lowes Black Friday ad was worth anything. Whoever is in charge of planning the ad or is approving it really needs to be demoted.

The fact that Black Friday is now all month long doesn’t help, I understand due to covid businesses are doing this to get sales. The Black Friday deals were on the floor several days before, most items were picked through before thanksgiving. Finally due to most stores not getting all the trim a tree due to supply chain issues also hurt. We’re 75% sold out of Christmas items already, down to a handful of trees and it’s not even December.

The real question no one can answer is what happens to the remaining Christmas items that finally clear customs and get unloaded from the shipping containers and land in stores in Feb or March….are they going to palletize everything, send it to a 3rd party holding location or if it comes after new year’s sell it all at clearance price.

Dead yes. How many stores made budget in the weeks leading up to BF? BF is now a month long event. Not a one-day anymore.
