If you feel safe anywhere at Cisco you're setting yourself for a very unpleasant surprise. They are working really hard on replacing everybody who's been here for a while with a younger and cheaper model. They might not bring the same knowledge or experience to the table, but in the grand scheme of things it works out for the number crunchers and that's the only thing that matters.

They should close lawrenceville. That place represents another acquisition failure. SA was a total wash. Paid all that money for a useless bunch of dregs that refused to actually become part of cisco. No way technically any of those people or product was worth paying more than a buck for. I know it was to be used as an entry into people's homes but that place had zero interest in doing what they were paid for. I had to cringe when we bought them, even more so after going in and having a couple of arrogant pr1cks questioning a cisco (non SA) badge about using vacant spaces.
Any news sbout Lawrenceville closing?
Ironically, I feel safe because after several rounds of this in my group there is no one left that knows anything about anything. Therefore, work is now super easy.
Many companies have been doing this for years. Accenture... Boeing... they are attracting younger "talent" in order to reduce costs. Cisco is no different.
Right. And RTP is closing. Anything new?
