Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

The worst Black Friday ever?

Some of you have been here much longer than me so you know better about it, but I can almost say with certainty that BBBY has never had a worse Black Friday. It's a real chaos and shame for the company. Admittedly, I didn't expect it to go any better.

It was fine, i feel like CDS will really be the true battle this holiday season like it has been for the last 2-3 years.

Black Friday is not what it used to be ANYWHERE. Even before the pandemic online shopping was taking over. Most places are understaffed. Places are begging for workers

Just another Corp misstep. Seems brick and mortar sales are up and digital is flat.
So they still haven’t dealt with staffing = disappointed customers.
Product is likely staged in fulfillment stores = disappointed customers.
Great article in Inc. on the bankruptcy of Circuit City that’s particularly on point. I wonder how many c- suite suits spent any time in a store yesterday.

My store was actually very busy, better than last year. So it wasn't the worst ever. It wasn't the best ever. But it wasn't the worst ever.

Way too understaffed to make this into what it could have been.
