The mandate is not about making people safer, it's about forcing compliance. If the EO really wanted to slow the spread of the virus, vax would be a requirement for collecting a welfare check, or for releasing into the US people caught entering illegally. As it stands now, vax compliance is only required by those working or entering the US legally.

The whole thing is likely a way to get rid of American staff, conservatives as well as the disabled and medically compromised (autoimmune disorders).

Doesn't matter if you are fully vaxxed. Doesn't matter if you agree with the mandate in general. Doesn't matter even if you somehow get an accommodation. You don't want to work here. These people are evil.

Get out as fast as you can. Because at some point, they will come for you as well.

I am trying to remember the date when Cisco said that if your doctors medical advice or recommendation wasn't to go get vaccinated that you should talk to theirs instead? There were many that said that they a have medical reason not to, wanted to give it more time, wait until more medical studies are completed, etc. Don't talk to your trusted physician you need to talk to theirs.

First off I am so sorry you had that experience and others are being dismissive. I lost a friend after his second shot to a massive stroke. He was 41. You are doing the right thing by standing up and further Cisco will likely get sued, mandate or not for pushing undue harm to their employees. The reality is that other tech companies are not pressing so hard on their employees, so don't worry about how Cisco decides they are going to treat their employees. The most important thing is to take care of you.

I agree with you. I actually meant in this forum. The number of trolls went down for some time but after the mention of employee severe adverse reactions they started back up. The forum sliding is to get people off topic, angry, and upset.

This changes everything. As of right now, the company is in violation of federal regulations. (with regards to remote workers not needing vaccination by OSHA).

Cisco's lawyers, who certainly make more than you do, have already said that policy is separate from the executive order that's requiring vaccinations.

Good luck fighting the army of Cisco lawyers over this.

To those unaware: FDA approved "Comirnaty" is "legally distinct" from the EUA Pfizer BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine. Pfizer claims it's the same thing, so why is it "legally distinct?" Try finding Comirnaty in the U.S. Near impossible. The currently available Pfizer vaccine in the U.S. is still only Emergency Use Authorized!

I looked up the directory profile of many of the people complaining about the loss of bodily autonomy. Where did the vast majority of them live/work? TX.

Yup, the state that is taking bodily autonomy away from women. Why aren't those same people up in arms about women's bodily autonomy? Oh, yeah, it because they're mostly all men complaining.

As lame as the Cisco ELT is. It's absolutely insane that the current presidential administration thinks this is a good idea for the country. I'm not anti-vax at all, and I've been vaccinated for a while, but the government forcing employers to do this to their workforce is unacceptable.

The J&J vaccine was rushed to market, has had thousands upon thousands of vaccine injuries and deaths, and has no long term studies.

Everyone who takes it is doing so at their own risk - it hasn't been effectively tested. And the few tests it has had - are mostly J&J funded. Where are the pregnancy studies? Where are the 5-10 year studies? Where are the studies on fertility effects?

For those of you concerned about new mRNA technology, fortunately J&J Janssen vaccine is based on old fashioned deactivated virus technology. Awesome!
