Adam orvos got out of belk a few years ago, he knew what was going to happen, now he is CFO of Ross Stores. It’s interesting how everyone who “retires” mysteriously surfaced in other jobs within a year.

What is the excitement about? Like he’s a hero or something? Does anybody know why he left Belk? Did he choose to leave the “sinking ship” or was forced out? Now another opportunity came, so who wouldn’t take it? How is it a big deal when a big shot from one retail company moves to another. Ross? Same concept with TJMaxx, proven to be successful already; underpaid people running and doing multiple jobs at those messy stores, so why are we cheering for the guy? Good opportunity, good money, good for him!
He knew Belk was a sinking ship. He also knew that Sycamore was corrupt.
If you can’t beat them, join them still hold true meaning after all. For Belk if we can’t compete with Walmart and other retails, we’ll show them we are financial strong (chapter 11) after all.
"So it’s ok to say Belk is now officially a high class Walmart? You find many cheap products lately at Belk store. What a classy elegant retail store!"
Well, yeah. I mean, a while ago (I don't know if they still use them) they had "Everyday Value"-type, orange sign toppers with the asterisk/splash * think like Wally World, so why not?!!

Ross - The store that gets Belk leftovers like cosmetics gift-with-purchase, no-value items such as canvas bags and sells them like they're designer originals. What class! It's marvellous! It's stupendous! It's a putrid acheivement!
