Many years ago, University of Phoenix was not a bad deal, especially when tuition was funded by employers. Even today, UoPX works for government workers who need a degree or advanced degree to get pay raises or promotion. Generally, though it's a loser in terms of social mobility, leaving many with student loan debt that they will never be able to pay back. Check out the Washington Monthly rankings.
