Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

Happy to be gone

I left RJ a couple months ago (maybe longer, maybe shorter since I don't want RJ HR to figure out who I am). I stuck it out for over 10 years (again maybe longer, maybe shorter). I had a good manager but those above him were uncaring paper pushers. Our team has been short 3 people with multiple job postings but no takers so the work just piles on and piles on. Being a worker bee you can imagine where I was on the totem pole. I finally had enough, used up 2 weeks of accumulated sick time and resigned. My immediate manager attempted to keep me with a promise of a potential large bonus but I was having none of it. I got my nearly month vacation and left. I had already put out feelers and after only a week off I had a new job (you can guess where but it is still in Florida). To those still at RJ figure out a way to leave like I did. HR won't help you with issues and your manager, nice as he may be can't do a thing. Only when there is a big issue that lands Paul and RJ on the front page will things begin to change.

If you left on your own accord, why worry about RJ hr?
