As employers look to tighten their grip on employee retention amid an ongoing labor shortage, a record-high number of business leaders say they expect to keep raising wages. According to a new survey from the National Association of Business Economists, 58% increased pay at their firms during the third quarter, and roughly the same share expects to continue doing so in the coming months. In fact, average weekly earnings have risen 4.5% over the last year, driven by sectors "most in need of more workers": construction and hospitality.

A former colleague just informed me that they got a promotion and raise. What ki--s me is that I trained this new person. They didn't even have an Associates Degree! Had to ask me how to use Outlook and lacked knowledge of using the other basic computer applications necessary to carry out their responsibilities! Now this person is hardworking, puts in extra hours without being paid but is a WORK ROBOT working about 10 to 11 hours daily. Guess they kept a bu-t kisser who never says no to being overloaded with work. I couldn't take the workload or doing the.job of THREE people any longer. I hope this company goes up in flames
Two decent increases in the last 9 mos. They are happening. Just depends on where you are I guess.
I wouldn’t hold my breath!
Xerox will somehow claim that in order to retain employees in this market, pay cuts, IRIF’s, and Increases to Benefit Costs must be undertaken.
Front line employees and customers only exist to ensure the C levels get their bonuses.

Did Lu----r just get edited? On a Xerox message board. His followers in Norwalk will be very upset.
So you think Xerox is going to give raises? I seriously doubt it.
And if they do, they will have you by the short hairs for the next year.
How much does your integrity and self worth mean to You?
