I have never been as unhappy with my job and the way my career is progressing at Cenovus as I am now. This company has changed drastically just in the last five years, and don't even get me started on ten or more. Employees went from being an asset to a number that can be cut whenever they need to artificially inflate the quarterly numbers. Talent and experience are not used to determine who'll get that promotion. Nepotism is. The culture has shifted drastically. It's literally like I've changed companies - two completely different working environments.

Why should I? I am getting paid to sit in my lab in the plant and trade stock. Its an easy pay check. Its easy to fake numbers and show the oil is on spec which makes my job easier.
Were still here cause we haven't been paid to leave that's about it

It certainly is a different company. And not for the better. The CEO has proven time and again he is a liar. It’s like living the movie Office Space.
Agree, CVE is not the same prestigious company as before and everyone outside has been aware of this which makes me afraid of my job seeking process ….!!! The merger with HSE employees made us even worse than five years ago, we are going to the he-l these days!!!
