Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

20+ per month?

What's it like trying to meet the numbers? Ever have to stretch the truth, or enroll people who don't belong in college?

@5hwn+1du7lClL, UoPX was enrolling people who were not eligible for Title IV funds. How is that equaling the playing field? They were fortunate to not have to repay hundreds of millions of dollars, if not more. UoPX is not the worst, but it does rank 386th out of 391 schools in the Washington Monthly. And yes, social mobility is a major factor in the rankings.

Is Post ID: @5hwn+1du7lClL meant to promote the reading and writing skills of UOP graduates?

Dahn - Grasping at straws.
You just got caught on your elitist attitude and outlook on the College way. You are part of the problem. Poor over the phone communication does not constitute an illiterate and does not allow an ER to cast judgements on who can enroll in College. In this current climate of race, gender and se-ual preference being on the forefront of all hot topic issues I would actually look at the University of Phoenix as being ahead of the curve for not having Admissions requirements. It equals the playing field for all.

@3jdu+1du7lClL, I apologize. Please ignore the previous comment. For the University of Phoenix, I would ask any EAs who are or were recruiting illiterates. These people are not eligible for Title IV funds--but University of Phoenix enrolled them. It's a good thing for UoPX that they have been able to buy so many politicians and bribe or threaten enough whistleblowers.

@3jdu+1du7lClL, the most extreme case was when Ashford was going to military hospitals and recruiting servicemembers with brain injuries. That may have been before your time. But having talked to Ashford University and University of Arizona Global Campus instructors for years, they could tell you how ill-prepared (or incapable) some enrollees are. Maybe you should ask some of the few remaining instructors at UAGC.

Dahn you made this comment in your question. “enroll people who don't belong in college?” What kind of person are you referring to with this statement? Who decides on whether a person is worthy of trying to better themselves?

In 2018, Apollo Education had 27 lobbyists in DC, 22 were revolvers.
Now they are down to 10, 9 are revolvers.

At this point I don't know how Phoenix hasn't been shut down for fraud.
