Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

People don’t know enough about PepsiCo

Before I came here, I thought this was a much “more serious” company than it is. I also heard some bad things, but I thought people were exaggerating. I don't think so anymore. Especially now, whoever is looking for a job here:

  • either has no other option
  • or didn't do enough research about the working conditions here.

The public image of PepsiCo does not correspond to reality.

This company demands heart and soul from its employees but does little to reciprocate. What damn incentive do I or any rank and file worker have to be a “high performance” employee when these cheap “leaders” dish out a paltry 1% raise with no bonus? We were recently told to be “happy” with getting an auto generated “smile”. Sorry - you creeps will pull in close to 80 billion in revenue this year - share some of the “love” with others besides the C suite.

With the labor shortages in the market this couldn't be a better time to be chopped from this swamp of a company. Wanted out for a long time and what a perfect time to need a job.

I am thrilled at being cut. Now I can go work for a company that doesn't make my blood boil on a daily basis.

God has surely opened many doors with news of the moves to GBS.

Jump while you can folks before our fabulous govt tanks the economy with their shenanigans. Both red and blue combined.

Actual fact about PepsiCo:
Losing share based on inexperienced leadership and reaction to supply chain issues.
Unlimited career growth only if you are diverse. Qualifications/results nah.
Not loaded with experienced, hard working people, they were shown the door and replaced with inexperienced Zoom addicts who manufacture valueless work.
Farming out positions in a fashion that was tried and failed in other companies.
Directionally challenged, and forced into a stance of acting like they respect their employees based on major labor headwinds. A desperate organization trying to sell people on staying. Not the choice of a new generation.

A couple years ago, if you said “the future looks bright” and fast forwarded, it would be difficult to arrive at that conclusion. Let’s revisit in five years and see how that works.

You don't need to be a psychopath to work there, but it helps!

The more the public knows about this rancid organization, hopefully, the more they will try to avoid it both as a prospective employee and as a consumer. The senior leadership team are about as heartless as they come in corporate America and that’s pretty horrid. Most large companies today share at least some of these perfidious traits - but PepsiCo seems to harness them all under one roof. I’m trying my best to target small to mid size businesses as to avoid again as much of the nightmare the last three years wrought upon myself and family. Ramon must be so proud of the work he has done over the past few years. He took an already dubious organization and made it even more hostile to its workforce. Looking forward to my exit interview- if they still even conduct those.
