What's a typical finance role salary to start at Chevron?
Should I expect or ask for $75k entry level? if not, could I get $75k-100k pretty easy?

I like to ask people on the layoffs site who got canned about salaries. It's just what I do.
They gave me like $72k, pretty low but it is entry level
glassdoor is your best friend
Finance entry level work is mostly being outsourced to Buenos Aires and Manila. Not a growing function in Chevron.

Salaries for non petro techs move slower then petro tech. It will take you a while to get a 25% increase.
