Hearing rumors from executive levels that some business units are talking about a retention package of some sort. Can anyone confirm any truth to this?

Obviously you are in the know and hearing gossip from the executive, because you are special. That is why you are on a layoff site sharing your vast secret knowledge. Awww, ain’t you cute little special person, pretending to be relevant and all.
Yawn, this is Boring…as though it matters.
If you don’t get your retention package, prepared to be booted.
Another indication you’re not needed; take the hint.
Sad thing is a quickly executed retention policy would probably interest people. ….however a late-executed and barely lucrative package will just upset people further.
And really? How laughable would an executive retention package be? They are the ones we have too many of, provide little work, don’t have other employment options, and have made the decision that got us here. The suggestion of the previous poster has me rolling. (And if true, that would accelerate resignations.)
Retention bonuses only available for CL31 and above. Must have received an O rating and at least 3,000 RSU shares in the last two years to be eligible.
It would be a desperate act to stop the ship from sinking further if it were true. Too late after forcing out thousands of good employees in the most despicable fashion beyond what any human being could have conjured up. In the end, EM has lost many millennia accumulated expertise, skills and experience. What's left is an overworked crowd with unbelievably low morale, and, a less than skeleton of a clueless organization. The future is a one-way downslope. Karma. LOL
For RTD, the retention incentive was watching donkeys run around as Commercial Advisor and waste more than a year worth of time in “valuation” of research projects. Any fool can tell that the valuation of the entire org and all its fake projects was no more than zero. But the poisoned needed to do serious value evaluations….. meetings after meetings, powerpoints after powerpoints and spreadsheets after spreadsheets. Very ExxonMobilishque
This company has unlimited greed. Fockers are not eyeing for a retention package on top of their overpaid salary (overpaid for useless work).
Who is getting retention packages?
That post is friking hilarious! If it’s true I wonder how much they paid them
No way! ExxonMobil Honored As “Most Attractive Employer” Among US Industry Peers according to the home page. Imagine that, we work for such a great company and there I was thinking they were trying to get rid of us.
Retain diz nutz
OP is correct. The retention package will be distributed on the 15th and the end of the month. It will be directly delivered. If you don’t like that, then GTFU.
OP, you’re not hearing anything, troll
Absolutely not. My boss was so fired up she wanted a transition plan asap. Couldn’t wait to pin another scalp on her pds.
RSU and EBU grants have acted as a way to retain talent. If you are not getting these, then you are not critical to retain
OP, is there a new flavor of kool-aid in your area?
Freaky Fridays is your lot. Be grateful.

They gave you freaky fridays and an ugly sweater contest. What more could you possible want? Some people you just can’t please.
That would be nice but XOM has not historically done that.
