Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Anyone work in LA/San Diego

Is something in the air in SoCal? Its been really wierd lately because our store is struggling but no one seems to care, almost like they know something is coming soon. Is it just bad leadership or does someone know about any changes in the next couple months? So far all ive heard is after the holidays they might get rid of positions/consolidate some more. I dont really wanna waste my time working for a company thats about to tank (on top of all the other problems i deal with) so lmk if you all have some news! thanks

san diego only has 3 stores and they are always looking like they are going out of business. IDK about LA though. But ya i think its just bad leadership + lack of workers + any worker with talent leaving the first chance they get

Is the bonus thing real? They just eliminated it? No way that is true

The focus by AMZN is not WFM but Amazon Fresh. Read the article on CNNBusiness.
‘Amazon’s grocery chain is growing. It is’nt Wholefoods

No more bonus for store leadership. Thats why they dont care anymore. Ask around and you’ll find out. Enjoy your last bonus everyone.

I’m in SP, too.
Everyone says they feel something in the air.
JM stepping aside is a huge clue, so is the fact that stores aren’t hiring holiday help this year.
Even if nothing happens, do you want to continue to wonder?
Always keep your options open
