Siemens US layoffs

I think this awful how they are closing all US offices and plants and sending the business to India! This is awful during the pandemic to treat people like this!

Due to the ever changing political climate and Global Pandemic of COVID all areas of Siemens have been significantly affected. Unfortunately Siemens branch office approach can't support the changes and demands. The company has to adjust to accommodate these changes which means outsourcing and automating many areas of the Business. This will change the market approach moving forward into 2022.

All Siemens material will be purchased through value added partner channels not branch offices starting in 2022. Technicians will have the option of working for a Siemens partner if they choose to remain with Siemens. All branch offices will close and long term employees offered a severance package by mid 2022.

Siemens is trying to automate their entire business in each sector. Profitability is the priority not the people. By end of 2022 most branch offices will be closed. The virtual landscape and digitalization are the future of business. Yes in turn a LOT of Siemens employees will be out of jobs.

Siemens BAU are laying off thousands of people and sending the work to India, most techs in BAU no longer do programming, graphical work and it has been rumored that they are aiming for a business model like they do in Europe. Siemens will just sell the equipment and a vendor will do the installation.
This is a bad move on Siemens part, I have already heard big customers talking of getting rid of Siemens and this is mainly due to the downsizing, moving work abroad and talk of non-Siemens employees doing the startups and such. 60,000 employees in the USA alone will eventually lose their jobs!

What parts of Siemens? For example, do you mean DISW?

They are closing ALL offices & plants in the US? They just invested in new building renovations, I thought.
