The Q4 layoff will occur on Tuesday October 26th. It will balance the legacy CVE / HSE employees under every Director. Enterprise wide.

The ones who does not believe there were layoffs, who they are?!!!! Are you really working for CVE/HSE? Wake up, man!!! There were some layoffs in some groups two weeks ago and you are still here saying “fake news”!!! Who hired you, man? You have the slightest idea what is going on your work place !!!! Then we expect CVE/HSE could be a nice place to work with such crazy employees!!! So sad :(

I agree I fully expect additional lay offs to reduce the number of personal, also its not just called taco Tuesday its also called Taxi Tuesday, If your ready for retirement and are waiting for a package enjoy your bonus and if you stay on and continue to work there are brighter days ahead in the industry make the best of it. We will see. I think there is some truth to this timing.
For now, I'd say it's all fake news. Must be a stupid management if they layoff when price of oil is so high. So only reason they would layoff people if they consider that merger was not done. If you have too many duplicate positions or too many useless managers or specialists. Husky acquisition was a hard pill to swallow, though. But for now layoffs will be next year

I had heard similar.. 700 headcount reduction.. The cuts will be the yearly layoffs afterwards... Many friends will say goodbye this week.. Hopefully descent packages we will see..
