Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Miserable

I want to leave Claims and transfer into a completely department like ASR. Can anyone share insight on what it’s like there? Are they as stressed and squeezed as we are? This is not the company I used to enjoy working for.

Claims express and initial loss are probably the worst jobs in claims.

How is it in Claims Express versus other Claims departments? Slightly better or worse?

Claims suck at any insurance company. Sad fact. Will leave once 62. Counting the months down.

Getting a new job doing A2M will be less stressful.

Get out if you can, just do it! I am stuck with just two more years in the pressure cooker of injury claims but seeing D Ryan for my escape plan out of this he-l ho-e next week. Auto injury is the worst job in claims! I loved this company for the first 30 years and then MT. They don’t give a rats a-s about quality and middle mgmt has drank all the kool aid and their only motivation is limited to what comes out of wizard behind the curtains mouth. This will only get worse even with new pay structures in place. They want more from less. There are much better opportunities out there right now. Auto injury claims is not a good career choice.

Remember leadership is all about me. They do not care about you. Anyone who is wrapped up in themselves makes for a very small package.

$100 referral bonus, I don't hate anyone enough to refer them to SF right now. For those looking, try Root Insurance. Executive has mentioned them by name as a company poaching our best employees.

Just leave. I’m finally taking the jump and actively applying elsewhere. I have 5 apps out and so far 2 of them are interested in me. Only a matter of time before SF is all ECRs.

Injury claims isn’t letting anyone in my section leave for stabilization, so many people have left the company. You would think we would be hiring right ? Not one new hire in the last 2 years. Once the bonus hits , we will see more leaving for sure.

We got an email where they are paying the $100 referral fee again because some of the proximity jobs have been open for more than 100 days. I would never refer a friend or anybody I want to remain friends with for a claims job. These jobs jobs should be labeled with health warnings.

Not every group is like claims. No secret we need more people. With the profits they claim we are making, we used to… hire IA’s to handle the BI claims in hard times. Even 6 months worth, while the new hires get their feet wet.

I doubt all departments are as rough as others. I’m not familiar with ASR and not sure what their workload is like.

So you want to move somewhere else IN the company?
I'd like to see the rockpile from my cell window, instead of the rockmine I see now.
