One would think that nepotism doesn’t exist in corporate America, but one would be naive to believe such garbage. Case in point - BH, new VP of CNE (4 pay grade increases in five years) is the niece of former CEO DO. Apparently her time in Sing managing VCO revealed she really didn’t know much about VCO…. so best solution? Promote her and move the problem along to someone else…. Good luck with that JG.

You must be pretty bitter to think 4 pay grade increases in such short order is not the sign of a rising star, rather than an entirely made up nepotism link to DO.
Turns out not all Irish people are related!
Fake news. BH is NOT related to DO. FYI all Irish people aren't related.
You are indentured servants, be humble, be happy and back to work, or leave.
Are you sure BH is related to DJO?
And you post this on the layoff boards? Why is that? No social life?
not only in the US. other regions also have similar situations of higher mgmt bringing in their relatives to cvx
Did you just now figure this out? This has been going on for decades.
OP you are full of s**t. JG is gone, so what does he have to do with anything? And DO has been gone for more than a decade - we’ve had years and years of JW and MW since. I’ve worked with BH and she’s good. Go crawl back under your misogynistic rock.
Nepotism isn't the cause for promoting failure. That's a built-in. It's everywhere.
Nepotism - in and of itself - isn't a bad thing.
