She didn't say anything we haven't all thought. I wish I would have been shopping in that store when she made her resignation speech. I would have instigated a major round of applause. The management of this company sucks.
Personally, as someone that hires and fires, this would bother me and in any other environment except retail, I would not hire this person. Because retail is a revolving door anyway, she could probably get in. But outside of retail, when you publicly burn a bridge like she did with the words she used, I’d say her options are limited. It would be interesting to see where she is 3-5 years from now. Time will tell, but based on her maturity level pulling a stunt like this, I think the handwriting is on the wall already.
I think Her future employer will understand. We are constantly baraded with structure changes, threat of job elimination, unreal expectations, constant coverage of metrics, low payroll percent, oh and lack of direction or planning. As in, Event is next Month and as of October 17th there is no play book. But hold on... Your off Thanksgiving, But be here at 12 am the next day. We stand behind you young lady and not far behind.
This is an old video that has been posted here before.
Although some might think this is such an amazing and well deserved sm--k down of Walmart, it actually reflects more negatively on her.
Imagine how this is going to be received by her future coworkers and bosses.
When you’re young, you do stupid stuff. But something like this, it’s going to follow you. Probably won’t matter, though. It’s pretty obvious where her life is headed.
