In fact, I don’t know if it’s more funny or sad when I look at empty shelves, and the manager tries to convince us that everything is under control and that we don’t need to worry.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
Are there other managers like this who go around saying that everything is OK?
Terrible!
I'm just waiting for the first better offer.

Pay to ship it into the stores. Pay to receive it, work it onto the floor and back stock it.
Pay to pull it, box it up and pay to ship it again.
What’s the actual margin after this?
Never mind if the item is returned.
We had situations were we closed the truck and literally had to find items on the conveyances for ship outs.
Also know stores have delayed closing trucks so items could sell out of the store instead of out the back door.
No It will not survive .
So true. As soon as we get it in all of it goes out through cds orders. I am an employee and I placed an order online using a coupon not my employee discount. I got my item 1 1/2 days after I placed my order. I still have faith in BBB. We are strong and can survive!
If the stock price hovers here fir long, BBB will be prime fir a private equity buyout.
The problem in my store is that as soon as we get in any good merchandise, process and display it we have to pack it up and send it out as a CDS. So yes we have been getting freight in and then sending it out and most times it would have sold to our in-store customers.
I agree..there are thousands of jobs our there..anyone worried about losing their BBBY.. go find one
Nope!
Lots of cash to burn before it comes to that.
The Chief of Stores told me yesterday that one half of the stores are closing by spring 2022 and the balance are up fpr sale to Private Equity
My store has lots of empty areas and many that are one or two deep on the shelves. Maybe we are closing.
Considering EVERYWHERE is hiring idk what you are waiting for
I don't know what to tell you. My store is getting slammed like crazy with freight. It's a challenge to find a clear aisle from one end of the stockroom to the other.
My store is so full we are running out of backstock space!! Shelves are jam packed ready for the Christmas rush since they are saying shop early!! I just hope this stuff sells so we aren’t stuck with it!
we're finally getting in a bunch of freight again, but the customers have already found other places to shop. that's actually a good thing for my store though, since we're down to a skeleton crew at best, and the few employees left all have limited availability.
You'll never catch mgmt on here telling you they are lying to you because they would not risk it. Si I assume your question was rhetorical!
“Nothing to see here”. Meanwhile Rome is burning to the ground. The only saving grace may be all the recent news articles and stories about the supply chain backup at the ports. The media is using the ports to push the need for more infrastructure spending even though it’s way more complicated than that. Most customers will see the news and think it is out of BBBs control, when we know the real truth. Stock is still in the toilet.
