To the sh-t for brains who said civics 101. Clearly you need to go back to school and pay more attention. An Executive order isn’t federal law, the executive branch doesn’t make law the legislative branch does. As for fed trumping the state lol, yeah revert back to the civil war you clown. If you live in Montana a state with a law that says this sh-t doesn’t fly then the company can’t enforce their Biden loving BS.

Civics 101.
State law NEVER trumps federal law.

Article VI, Paragraph 2 of the U.S. Constitution is commonly referred to as the Supremacy Clause. It establishes that the federal constitution, and federal law generally, take precedence over state laws, and even state constitutions.

So they’ll just update their policy similar to Montana. We will just have to get tested weekly. Fine with me. I mean it’s not really fine but I’ll take that over taking the shot.

Straight from the FAQ...6. I live in a U.S. state that prohibits mandating COVID-19 vaccinations. Does this policy apply to me? Updated Sept. 29, 2021 The requirements of this policy will be enforced consistent with applicable law. At this time, only Montana prohibits a private employer from mandating COVID-19 vaccinations. If you live in Montana and have not been vaccinated, and you are designated as an unvaccinated onsite or hybrid employee coming onsite, weekly COVID testing will be required, as well as onsite safety protocol (e.g., social distancing & masks). For Oct. 15, you are required to complete the RTX vaccine disclosure form.

The problem with Texas Governor's EO is that it's all talk but no action. It's kind of like my coworkers who offer their help on critical programs in front of important managers, but then disappear when the managers leave. When the going gets tough, they are nowhere to be found. This is a losing battle!!! Just take the jab and sue them later. Company can always find a fake reason to fire you.

I just contacted the governors office to see what they say. I will post what I get in response. My questions was basically what do I as an employee do if my company refuses to acknowledge this ban on the vaccine mandate. As far as I’ve been told, the requirement still stands regardless of this new ban.

Contact the governor's office directly I would imagine. At the very least they could direct you to where to report. It's right in the executive order.

Who do we contact if they don’t follow the states regulations?

I see, well we are federal contractors. I just wonder how Raytheon will respond. I foresee an email soon saying they will be disregarding state orders and going by federal orders. Something along the lines of “we still expect all of our employees to be vaccinated per federal guidelines regardless of state regulations.” If this does stick and it does have weight I can easily see Raytheon “temporarily closing the facility” and then blame it on Abbott. Because of state laws we had to close down multiple facilities to comply with federal regulations. Something to that effect. This is going to be very messy either way. I would love to know who to contact to let the “state” know that my facility is ignoring this mandate ban.

If you work in Texas then " no entity in Texas can compel receipt of a COVID-19 vaccination by any individual, including an employee or consumer, who objects to such vaccination for any reason of personal conscience, based on a religious belief, or for medical reasons, including prior recovery from COVID-19." They also will be fined of they try. So, no you will not need to get the vaccine or file an exemption etc. And you can't be terminated for that legally. I'm not sure how this affects providing status.

So, I saw this and have seen it discussed everywhere but I still don’t know what that means for me as a worker. I have until December 8th but now Texas has this ban soooo….do I have to still get the shot to keep my employment or no? Who do I talk to if Raytheon stands by and ignores the state order. I don’t really understand what this means for me.

Abbott and Texas. Figures. Florida will be next to do this. They probably still think the election was stolen🤦‍♂️

A man with integrity, character who loves his people and respects the law. I'd vote for him if he runs in 2024.
