Being ‘promoted’ while in the Chevron Titanic isn’t much to brag about. If you aren’t at least 45, and you are involved in the oil side of the business, odds are you WILL BE laid off at some point in the future. That’s your Green fate…
How do we know it’s a guy?
I am curious about the guy who constantly complains on most threads about topics posted that are unrelated to layoffs … is he here still bu-t hurt about the layoffs a year ago or just completely paranoid about the future? Either way, there are new antidepressants on the market that he and his doctor really should discuss. While we are waiting for that, how about that total rip-off of an Astro's game last night!

No one is convinced that you're here looking for lay off news. You're here to be the lay off police because you get some degree of psychological pay off from scolding people anonymously or you're here like everyone else...to follow news and gossip about CVX, At least be honest with yourself.

Yes, and that is also a question that I routinely bring up on the lay-off boards to all the people who have been laid off and the ones worried about it coming up, the purpose of this site. That's just me being an A-ho-e, my usual self.

I was ‘promoted’ last year the moment I was told I still had my job. Unfortunately, a few of my coworkers were demoted the moment they were told they were left standing. You see, OP, it’s all a matter of perspective.
