As far as upgrading my skillset is concerned, I’m not particularly pleased with how much I’ve learned here, but I’ve learned the most important lesson, and that is that you should never wait too long for things to change for the better. I finally got a new job and now I regret staying here for a long time. Out of curiosity, what are the most important lessons you have learned in your career here?

I learned how to play their political games in which it’s all about who likes you and who know verses what you know. If political games here are like the hunger games at Allstate. I have worked at many companies but I have never seen it this bad.
Whenever they are saying it is good for the employees or the customer, the translation is it is good for the stockholder. Which means it is good for Wilson, Shapiro, Rizzo, Gupta, Williams, Parsons, Brandt, etc. They could care less about any of you. and for those in the field including the agents, that also means Sullivan, Telgenhoff, Bradley and Adamzyck. They are secure in their future. But the question is, do you feel as secure in you future as they do?
They all could give two flips about you.
Me, me, me,,, that is your question. Need anyone say more and why this Corp is where they are!! We’ve had enough of self serving leaders and some people not for the greater good…you are right there! Sad for me because I worked with a good team who fought every day for AllState success.
I have learned that Allstate hires the cream of the cr-p.
Allstate upper management is bad, but they do hire very smart and talented coworkers
I have learned that I have met great people here. Even if the leadership and the management were bad. The company itself was not good to work for either, but I have met some great coworkers.
