A "visionary" and "viable" energy company should always maintain tight controls on their OPEX. New Jersey is a very expensive state for a company to operate.

You know Elon Musk said something very similar today about the affordability of doing business in the LS state.
He went on:
"And, of course, it reminds me a bit of the home of my youth, apartheid South Africa."

You work for an oil company. Time to be close to the wellhead and refinery so you can be of use instead of solving problems that don’t exist.

Even by your own stats - NJ only has higher cost of living, but wins on all other counts.
