Are you suffering from a horrible case of Stockholm syndrome? I don't understand people who keep defending the company and calling it a great place to work...on a layoffs page. If it's that great, what are you doing here? Or are layoffs a part of what's making it such a great workplace?

Awww, the cute little special people.
Layoffs are part of the Chevron Way!
We are all here because we don’t have a better place to go.
We know the O&G market sucks right now but as soon as we can leave we will
If I stick with Chevron I have about eight years to retirement. If I can find an offer from another company that will cut that down to six years or less I will bolt. Based on how the real world works, I don't see that happening so I will be more than happy to stick it out.

OP, who is holding a g-n to your head insisting that you stay; if you don’t like it, just leave.🙏
People who are argumentative are typically fired from Chevron at some point. Culture clash.
Which ones do you supposedly "see all the time"????? Please list them, any way possible.
Too funny!
We think that it's awesome, great pay and benefits OP, why are you here, may I ask? LMAO!
Golden handcuffs man
Yes the HR drama keeps me coming back time and again.
I’m just here for the HR drama.
I would guess some do like Company, and there are some good things about it. Why come here? Sometimes simply boredom/looking for any interesting info...who knows? Same reason you probably scroll mindlessly at stuff too in net/social...
