Dear Belk Family,
I would like to thank everyone who has dedicated their lives to Belk this year, I know it’s been difficult, but the “one belk” system is a vital and necessary part of our business. I know all the denied PTO and vacation time has become a hot topic among associates, and I would like to say that we do not intend to give you any more time off than we have to. We were forced to give thanksgiving off because every other retailer is closed, but I still wanted fulfillment to work because thinking of a day with no money flowing into the store, gives me serious heartburn and gas. I will be enjoying thanksgiving with Lisa Harper, as we look into how to expand Ranch Pescadero in Mexico. I, along with Nir, Jacob, Leslie, and some new guy who I can’t remember his name, will all be counting our money while managers package those orders during thanksgiving. Lisa will be in the NYC parade this year as a float, so keep an eye out!
