Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Wow, guess no loyalty

Wow, 20+year emp with no attendance or productivity issues, and great reviews prior to leaving a couple of years ago. Inquired about coming back and was told i wasn't wanted or needed. They preferred new people they needed to train.

If Xerox would look at the skill set or experience of those currently in top level positions they might wonder why those dogs are still employed while vastly more qualified individuals are on the do-not-hire list.

Ya sure. Like they say in Hollywood.
“ You’ll Never work in this town again….unless we need you. “

It's been policy for at least 15 years not to hire back people that left. Long ago people in Rochester would leave to go to Kodak, work a couple years, and come back with a larger salary. This angered loyal employees who didn't jump for a few bucks. This probably happened in other areas areas.

They could have decided to make sure they are always paying premium salaries so people didn't leave.

That said, you can get hired back if you have critical skills and senior management makes a good case.

Yah. Sure another chump competitor.
What a stupid mo--n. You just don’t get it do you? Why would you? You have your own agenda.
And yes I keep forgetting I’m not a real poster. What a piece of work.

Let’s not pretend this was a real poster anyway. Yup, I’m sure the first thing they would do is post on this particular website after getting denied. Another chump competitor trying to stir stuff up as usual. Give it a rest already.

Why would Xerox rehire someone who left/quit/resigned their position?

There would always be a greater risk of that person deciding to leave again when something else comes up that is "Greener".

Think about if you were in a management position, would you rehire yourself?

What are the PROs and CONs?

Never mind about xerox needing you.. you don’t need xerox. Period.

Tells you a lot about the integrity of the company. Glad you found out before you got rehired and let go again.

My opinion … You are Lucky 🍀 beyond words staying out of this place.
