Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

Two Jobs

How many of you working from home are working two jobs. I know a some in MN who work two jobs and Lumen has no clue.

I guess that’s one way of getting Lumen back for their terrible leadership.

In most cases, the second job pays better, while they siphon the benefits from Lumen.

Welcome to “Work from Home”! Kudos to the creative people.

Spot on with the previous post. The yes men have the ba--s to ruin other peoples lives but don’t have the ba--s to leave! Soon, you will see what awaits them! Good riddance! That place is the worst place to work ever! The Directors and vps and Executives are delusional! Gfy Lemon!

Bunch of bafoons. In my area, the new thing is, all the young guys that counted on OT to pay their bills, have all taken jobs at night for extra money. We're talking menial stuff like Uber, Lift, Door Dash, 7 Eleven etc. Since they cut out all OT.
I blame them for living beyond their means, but pretty sad when you have to work another job to make ends meet.

Oooohhhhh scary. If the catch you you will be working at Walmart. THIS is the genius mentality of the yes men and those who haven't seen the light.
Do you think someone who really cared would do this? No. Do you honestly think if they caught you, that another GOOD company wouldn't hire you? Wrong. And most of the people working the second job are making MORE than they are at CTL/Lumen AND already have a job offer at the other company. It is sad to see someone who thinks CTL is the end all post this rubbish.
CTL is a has been dying company that will never amount to shitt. When the new investment outfit takes over and breaks it into pieces and contracts what they keep, there will be nothing left except some whining and crying by the "oh it's gonna be so great" bunch that were too ignorant to see it coming.
Even those at director level (can't name names or they will delete my post) see it coming and are bailing.
Shoot, even if you did end up at Walmart it would be better than this place.
Ask anyone who has left and see what they say. Nobody has left and not made out better.

I would like to know how you get the time? If you are working for Lumen you would never have time with all the work load we have. Probably doing a half a-s job for both companies. Oh and you’re stupid for mentioning it to begin with.

Don't get caught.
Lumen has the right for lawsuit to anyone who crosses the line.
Only Walmart jobs are forgiving.
It could become your permanent career with Walmart.

Best idea I have seen on this website in years. Leadership is clueless so no need to worry about it. Salespeople have been doing it since the pandemic.

What's even better than having two jobs, is in our group, we have a sales engineer that sells equipment for CTL. He also has his own IT company. So. He sells equipment to the customer and either on company time or at night, he and a couple CTL techs that he pays under the table, go install the equipment for the customer under his company. He gets paid on both ends. Been going on for years.

HR people are doing it! Who cares about getting caught. You work the other, better job if they find out. They are too d-mb to ever find out and how can they prove it.

You could do Frontier, Lumen, Mitel, and pick any security software company and do quite well.

If you don’t think this is happening, you are naive.

I know sales reps who work as agents for competitors and the company itself.

Thank You - WFH/Covid

"Post your code of conduct violations here! Thanks! -HR"

Policy was changed and now must report all outside employment, not just potential conflicts of interest. Don't report it and Lumen find out or a coworker snitches you out, easy way to fire you and not pay severance.
