Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

Did anyone else attend the XR protest yesterday outside TC?

A few of us made it over in time to show solidarity outside of the TC HQ on 5th. Not everyone who works here is pro Oil and Gas. Suzuki is right. Infrastructure is going to be targeted. Rightfully so.

Suzuki is a pseudo-scientist who has the carbon footprint larger than that of a small commune of BC Hippies!!! Suzuki profits mightily from the climate alarmism narrative!!!

This is the d-mbest post you’ll read here all day! Demand for oil and gas isn’t going anywhere! If you work in oil and gas, and participate in protests, you should resign immediately! You don’t deserve your job and you are a total hypocrite! If you want to fuel the transition to renewables, then you are in the right place! Natural Gas should be the preferred bridge fuel to replace all coal fired power in Asia, and provide the energy required to build renewables infrastructure.

That isn't true. It's ndifferent than being a non-smoker and working for a tobacco company. Or non-drinker working for a alcoholic beverage co. Just a pay cheque.

“Not everyone who works here is pro oil and gas”. Give me a break u hack. That’s like being the guy making $$ off meds and then suing pharmaceutical companies. If you get paid by an o&g company you clearly support it.
