I believe most will be disappointed by their raise amount
- there is no plan to make you whole for year of no raises, no 401k match and other reduced benefits
- there is no plan to get you back to or above what you were making end of 2019 considering inflation
If you went down in rankings you are likely over your target salary so lower raise.
If you are low in rankings your target is lower so even if just stayed low and didn’t drop you aren’t getting a big raise.
Change in CL always helps but beware if you move into a new rank group as it is common to drop in ranking after promotion.
Raises are based on a salary survey to determine the minimum amount you need to be paid to not leave. Company has history of erring on the low side. They would rather underpay and see people leave than risk overpaying. They also cherry pick the companies they compare against to get the answer they want. Many companies we are losing people to are not included. HR has a BS talking point they are excluded because they don’t offer long term careers which is a total crock.
