Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Saving up money to leave

I’m in a hurry to get out of here, but I don’t want to make a mistake of accepting the first opportunity that comes up and once again ending up in a company that doesn’t value even its best employees.

On the other hand, I absolutely have to get out of here as soon as possible so I’ve been making savings for a while now to buy time to find something that suits me much better.

The only question is how to maintain sanity in this chaos until then. Is that even possible here? People are under incredible stress.

I’m putting my notice in after the 1st of the year. I would do it sooner, but want my 2021 401k match and 4th quarter pension contribution.

That’s my plan too, getting my expenses down to almost nothing, I bought a cheap house, used cars, etc. Once paid off I can leave this dump when I feel like it. It’s actually motivating to know that in a couple years I’ll be done, knowing I’m not stuck at this sh-t ho-e is motivation for me

You need to train yourself to do the bare minimum and laugh at the self inflicted chaos (self being Allstate). You are not Altas.
