I understand that everyone cares to keep the job until they find another opportunity, but it is already clear that we do not have much influence there, whether we work hard or not. Now I look around at my coworkers, how busy they are, tense, under tremendous stress to do as much as possible to keep a job that doesn't even allow them to pay bills.. I was like that too, but not anymore. Now I only worry about how I will pass the interview in a much better company.

I stay for now only because they work with my part time availability. New hires (cashiers) come in making $15 an hour. Experienced people are now quitting because of that and are better off. A bunch of us asked for a raise to match new pay rate and we’re told to bleep off essentially. Nature of the beast I guess.
The ONLY reason I put up with it is I had a mortgage payment. Once I paid off my house I quit. They kept piling work on me and not assisting with freight, they’d reassign associates that were in my department to cover others. When people quit they’d leave the name on the schedule for months.
I would just do my job, no more, no less and stay under the radar. Why ki-l yourself when no one appreciates it
Exactly, just put it in cruise control. Use BLowes like a rented mule and discard it as you would with a used prophylactic. Do Marv like he did you!
