Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Not every team can afford 10 or 15 percent cuts!

Somebody gave a good rundown of how it was determined who'll get laid off and it says that each affected team was told to reduce the number of employees by 10 to 15 percent. This explains a lot, but it also creates a complete mess of a situation. Not every team has people to shed without it heavily impacting productivity as well as the ability to do the job overall. If you lose a person who's been in charge of something for the past 15 years without previously making sure that somebody else knows exactly how everything works, what do they think will happen? Well, I guess we're all about to find out. Not to mention, we now have fewer people to do the work we were barely able to do with a full team. That will produce interesting results as well. All I know is I'm not picking up any extra work even if they threaten to fire me. I'm tired and very close to not giving a damn.

I know a complete team that got decimated and one person was left to remain.

My team was reduced to 50%. We were up against a multi million dollar project when they bombed me. I pity the team now.

And yet those teams will have another 15%-20% layoff in March 2022
