I'm not talking about a little unpaid overtime, but a lot of unpaid overtime. They tacitly expect it from me and many others.
If I had just come here from university, I might be ok with it, but I have many years of experience in this industry. They really think that someone with a long career will agree to work long hours for nothing?

Gee, did they promise that you will get promoted to L8 or L7 if you throw up blood after all those unpaid overtime after a year?
And if you get promoted, what do you think is the prize ? More unpaid overtime times 2 !! And you get to herding the slaves on L9, L10 and L11.
What's gonna happen though is you're not gonna get promoted because you didn't have time to kiss a-s.. gotta break the rules if you want to win at this game. Funny every new grad/uni on L11 thinks they're gonna get to MD level after 5 years... LOL
