Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

"They want us to leave"

Apart from the fact that it sounds very logical as the best way for a company to get rid of some employees without giving them severance pay, I really can't say that I got the impression that they are putting pressure on me to quit.
I mean, I’ve been under pressure here since day one, so I’ve gotten used to that kind of pressure and it’s nothing new to me here.
So I am interested in those who say that the company puts pressure on them to leave on their own? What situations are these?

It is listed as tactic #27 in the psychopathic corporation handbook. Make working environment unpleasant and unprofitable place to be so people will leave, saving severance liability.

CNRL used the technique quite effectively post Horizon to downsize the Calgary office.
