Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Leadership Failure of Epic Proportions

Who would of ever thought 3+ years ago when Citrix employees were warning customers to be prepared for a disaster aka a situation where employees would need to work from home then a world wide pandemic happens but Citrix sinks. It turns out customers don’t need Citrix.

This pandemic has proven Citrix can’t do what it’s core mission is. They didn’t innovate. There are other companies that continue to beat revenue expectations quarter after quarter. They aren’t a virtual desktop company. Very bad leadership for many years at Citrix!

Henshall was a clown - trying to optimize for the stock multiple instead of the simplest, most effective value: customer success. Make your customers successful: everything else flows from that.

Coming from a Citrix partner: There were multiple alignment issues with wrike. Citrix did amazing on Virtualization side and Love selling in that stack but they reduced partner margins in a lot of cases. If citrix really wanted to spend money on acquisition they should have invested in a storage solution that can host citrix. Would have been a perfect alignment.

Anyone that puts this outside of Davey Boy is a fool. The security breach, the horribly misguided rebranding exercise, the p-ss poor product development, the errors made with the Street, and then the ill-fitting Wrike purchase are his hallmarks and the direct cause of the problems the company is suffering through today. Have fun flying around in your private airplane, Dave, while the Citrites that are left with a valid network credential try to put the pieces back together. Genius.

Not only did they not innovate they spend their money on acquiring companies that do not fit their business model like Wrike. They lack the innovation to integrate these companies into the Citrix Core Model and have zero Go To Market strategy to synergize the two and bring Wrike into the Citrix umbrella. During my time at Citrix I always felt that there was a lack of cohesiveness between business units and everyone operated in their own bubble. Can't be successful operating this way.
