Since nepotism is so rampant in the company, does anyone knows of any nepotistic employees that got laid off or pip'd? I highly doubt it as these peeps are one of the privileged / protected class.
Don't have to reveal names (as they will freak out XOM mgmt. and the admin of the site) but would be nice to know the Organization, Job Title of such individuals.
There is nepotism in this company...everyone is climbing the career rank because of meritocracy....we are company with high ethical standards and such behaviour will not be tolerated by our human resources department...
@1tik+1dPNCGoU forget about other non O&G companies but XOMs direct competitors big and small in size no longer respect nor value XOM employees, the arrogance the have and the lack of usable functional skills. I have a large list of XOM employees at my company who are rejected with the reason being "no functional skills". So now you can go back to brown nosing while people outside XOM laugh at you and your peers. LOL!

If you come out of your pond and look outside you will realize that the joke is on you. I know “two for one” EM couples where the spouse who was hired as a favor to the other was laid off last year. But I also know one such couple where one person is a big HiPo and the other, a truly parasitic employee, went completely unscathed through the layoff and two PIPs, although every group that person has been in tried desperately to get rid of them.

Many dual career couples had one spouse fired and one spouse remaining as employee.
I do not know of any employed children of employees fired.

I know of one in FLCIT who was. Caused a big pissy match between some people. And honestly they shouldn’t have been PIPed. Bottom 33% yea, bottom 8% and also fail PIP? No they weren’t that bad.
