Did you see DP's note yesterday about how we have to get tested weekly? How are they going to enforce that? This is getting ridiculous. What about HIPPA? I don't want people to know my vaccination status, or that I am negative or positive after every week of being subject to testing.

They are doing stickers. Everyone will know. Chevron has enforced vaccinations for all sorts of jobs forever. They don’t care about your feelings. Want to know why? Chevron believes in science, so if you are anti vaccine without a medical reason than you dont align with the company in terms of scientific reasoning and logical thinking. Suck it up.
Obviously Chevron can’t test every single employee that would take too much time and manpower. Makes sense to limit testing to the unvaccinated.
@ccg, take a look at OSHA’s FAQ page for the ETS. There’s a lot in there that doesn’t make sense:
“7.A. Do vaccinated employees need to be removed from the workplace if they test positive for COVID-19? Yes. Regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status…”
But if vaccinated people aren’t required to be tested…
HIPAA protects your medical info from being disclosed w/o your knowledge and consent. You know your COVID test results are going to be disclosed--consent or resign.
Being that vaccinated people can still catch and pass covid, everyone should have to be tested. This makes no sense...

Not defending DP or CVX, but they are simply implementing the “law” that was recently announced. Here’s the fun part about the “law”…the test cannot be self-administered and interpreted. There has to be a telehealth or in-person witness. You don’t have to get the shot, but if you don’t, we’re going to prod your nostrils and enjoy watching!
