If the economy turns around, do you anticipate any Emerson Electric layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Upper management will go to the ends of the earth for its employees.
How else could they find them for such low wages?
They laid off employees here because we cant get material from mexico due to the 100% border inspection.
Its delaying shipments by months.
Aug 2022 Emerson fired lots of people over the phone all at once.
There will always be a push to reduce USA headcount and put those jobs in Mexico, Costa Rica, Philippines, India, etc., etc. It has become a key embedded cornerstone of the company’s profit plans. Same game plan for Western Europe. Same for high cost Asia (Japan, Singapore) as well.
Meanwhile, management keeps saying "you should keep things business as usual,," but I keep getting fire drills for immediate requests related to acquisition. Very contradictory and stressful.
They have laid off 25 year veterans. They’d sell our organs on the transplant market if upper management suggested it.
Is this a serious question? Do you honestly need an answer to if the economy turns for the worst will there be layoffs? I have saw great employees cut after many years of loyalty, so the answer is yes there will be layoffs. If I have learned one thing over the past few years it’s you’re nothing more than a employee number at this company.
Erm the website? To stimulate conversation? It is a website about layoffs after all. Lol.
This same exact post was posted in other company forums on this site. By whom and why?
I expect that even in good times, they will drive US headcount lower… either by layoffs, deputization or offshoring American workers.
LK must maintain dividend that has lasted for decades. Between acquisitions and supply chain issues, he’ll have to lay off some of us.
