It's time for us to get a day or two off in a row.. I taking two sick days off on 12/11 - 12/12/2021. Yes I'm calling in sick both days. I need a rest. I need a weekend off 😞

I retired May 2020. I come on here every once in awhile to read what people still put up with.
I had it when Lowe's did little to nothing when the pandemic started.
They offered me 30 days paid leave, I turned in my resignation on day 29.
For the last 6 months, I had them put 25% of my pay towards retirement. Worked out well when they paid us $2/hour extra, I guess you could call it hazardous pay.
Plan ahead boys and girls. Amazon is going to buy Lowe's. Bezos wants in the contractor market bad. He'll get it, and an already built network of Amazon pickup locations nationwide.
Funny how many times a day I here I guess I'll go to Home Depot I just say hey it's your choice then I walk away

I know the feeling!!! It's exhausting working this "customer-centric" schedule. And it's not customer-centric, because if it was, we'd have more employees in the afternoon when customers are in the store, instead of four or five cashiers on the front end in the morning and one poor soul at self-checkout by the afternoon.
