Thats something I've never understood. I'm not posting to disagree with the Railway Labor Act I fully understand its in place. To me if a Strike were to happen then its a last resort. All other hope is lost. What would the government do throw thousands in jail for refusal to go back to work? I dont think that would happen. Throw upper Union Officials in Jail? Probably but I couldn't care less about those individuals at this point.I'm so sick of hearing "Well they can do that".

Once the politicians decide to repeal the Railway Labor Act, which neither major party is currently prone to do, then we will strike with the rest of them. Until the Railway Labor Act is repealed striking isn’t a realistic option. Just be glad we get to have Presidential and Congressional Emergency Boards do our negotiating for us.
Clearly you've never been on strike with the railroad. You can strike but within less than 24 hours congress orders everyone back to work and good luck with a wildcat strike or walkout.
