Been hearing they have been testing pricing going to the MST. Pricing coordinator posted she was told to start applying for open positions, at her store it officially starts in January. Anybody else hear anything?

Without doubt it will go to MST as it is part of Merchandising in every other company out there. It's about time.
Heard that backend clerks might be eliminated as well.
That would be great! MST can add another function that they only do half way.
When pricing went overnight in 2018, I was told by my ASM (who doesn’t bu-----t or spread gossip, so I know he was being honest) that the ultimate plan was to give pricing to MST. He said it might take a couple of years or so (which puts us right about now), but that it WAS in the works.
If Marvin and Joe have taught us anything, it’s to not get comfortable.
Better start a Union if you want to keep your job, get paid fairly and not getting more work piled on you as they keep cutting payroll.
I like to see a self-serve at this point nobody in a any kind of contractor shirt Fire Marshal anybody that looks like they have a uniform can walk through Lowe's without getting asked questions by customers
Absolutely believe it. It’s clear that we are converting from a ‘full customer service’ to a ‘self-serve’ model of doing business in the stores. I was in our local Lowe’s this past Saturday during the early afternoon hours and there were virtually no employees on the floor, with customers everywhere. It’s all about taking cost out of the stores and the only way you can do that is by reducing payroll. To do that you have to keep eliminating positions and increasing the workload/responsibilities for other employees. Those that choose to stay are going to be asked to do more and more. Get used to it, it will not be going away.
They would need a he-l of a lot of robots as many customers ask questions. Can you imagine the long lines of people asking where air filters and carpet tape are
Yeah, if "the people just won't work", well then, bring in the AI robots to replace them...no sick time, bathroom breaks, lunches or healthcare required.
Cutting more payroll from the stores. In a few years most employees won't be needed with what's in the works.
