How do you explain that they laid off a man who loved his job and was great at it, very dedicated, very productive, while there’s still a person here who has no idea what he’s doing? It really frustrates me, because when they cut people there is no logic to it at all.

Don't worry, in a year or two they will bring him back contract
They just don’t care. It’s that simple they don’t care about any of us even if you’re good at your job. The employee development is a joke that they talk about at the top but no leader/manager cares about. Our managers are too busy working on their own promotions and saving themselves to worry about us. Just understand that they don’t care and you will stay sane. Somewhat.
The leader felt threatened by him… simple surviving mode. That is why this company sucks
Perhaps a better question for their leader or level up than an open forum?
